Improving Air Circulation With Indutrial Fans

For many businesses, buying large industrial fans can be a necessary purchase if they are to keep the air inside the building circulating. While these fans can be extremely effective, there are still some best practices that must be followed.

Choose An Industrial Fan With A Warranty

An industrial fan is likely to be in operation for most of the time that the business is open and operational. As a result, it is going to experience considerable wear that could lead to it developing malfunctions. This makes it beneficial to choose an industrial fan that has an extended and extensive warranty. One of these warranties will be able to cover many of the common damages and problems that an industrial fan can experience over the extensive usage that it will experience.

Keep The Screen Or Filter Clean

Most industrial fan systems will have a screen or filter that is designed to prevent the larger particles and dust from coming into contact with the fan, motor, or other components. If your unit has a filter, it will need to be periodically changed so that it will continue to be effective. However, those with metal screens will need to manually clean the screen to remove any dust or debris that has collected on it. When performing this work, you will want to take extra precautions to avoid accidentally knocking or pushing dust into the interior of the fan system. This screen will need to be inspected regularly so that you can perform this cleaning before it has a chance to become severely obstructed by dust.

Consider The Angle Of The Industrial Fan

Industrial fan systems will often have the capability of being adjusted so that the direction that the air is blowing can be controlled. You will want to put some thought into the angle that the fan is placed. This will help to avoid pockets of stagnant air from developing. For example, if your business's interior has numerous pieces of large equipment or other items that could block the flow of air, you may want to slightly angle the fan upward so that the air can circulate over the top of these items, which may help to pull air out from behind them. In some situations, you may have no choice but to invest in multiple fans to place around the business's interior. When this is the case, you will want to angle them so that they will avoid canceling each other out. Otherwise, you may not get as good of results from the placement of these fans around your business's interior.
